Led question

Postby CAZTILLO1337 » Fri Jan 04, 2013 9:02 pm

Recently I started modding my Xbox controllers by swapping LEDS. However, the blue, white, and violet LEDs were dim on the controllers. Btw I got the led from from lighthouseled.com. And I noticed that the voltage needed for them to work was 3v.and now Wondering if the blue, white and purple led from phenoptix will work on my cg2 boards? With out being dimmed. :idea:

I've never used any LED's from anyone but phenoptix so I don't no much about the ones your using.

If you look at some of the xbox mods on here you will see that all LED are bright and really shine so that should speak for the quality of the LED's.

I can't recommend phenoptix enough

You will have to post some pics of your mods as we love pics here.

You could post pic of the pad before and after fitting the new LED'S
tis Better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all

I blame spelling errors and my writing skills or lack of...... On fred!!!!!! My blood clot (yes I really did name it lol)

Other LEDs can often be low quality and dim out very quickly when the voltage decreases, Phenoptix LED's will work at slightly lower voltages aswell, it may help to change the type of batteries being used;

I can't remember which way around it is but If you are using Acid batteries try alkaline or vice versa... One type slowly drops voltage from its peak charge when bought; whereas the other type stays at the same voltage then suddenly dies out... The latter would be a better choice but I still would recommend using phenoptix leds .

Please correct me if I am mistaken!
