Police lights

Postby Rich » Mon May 20, 2013 7:20 pm

Hi all, been busy at work for a few months so not been doing any electronics for a while.

However i've found time to build a police light and siren ircuit for my mountain bike that i'm very pleased with, much better than a boring old bell eh!

I have uploaded a youtube video because it has to be seen working to see how good it is, but at the minute it's still being processed.

This is the flasher circuit:

This is the flasher and siren on one board:

The LED in the middle is a wide angle one from Phenoptics:

I'll post thr siren diagram and you tube clip later

Enjoy! Rich

Oh, forgot to mention, the 3 LEDs are in series with a 1 ohm resistor on the main board. The power supply is 9v not 12 as it says on the diagram, so each diode gets 3v

Hey Rich, good to see you on here. Been a bit quiet of late, mainly down to my own inactivity.
Very nice work. I'm sure RC fans will love it, perhaps even your local bobby might like a set for his bike too?
