Good effort on the Sketchup! It's a great program that you can just jump into and use. I've tried Autocad recently and found that to be really hard work, but very powerful. It doesn't have the community aspect of Sketchup either.

Ah yes Autocad, a very powerful bit of kit but like you said it is complex! Possibly more for business or professional use, at work we use Catia which takes things a step further into 3 dimensional wire frame modelling!!
I've never really used sketchup much before but after knocking up that little 'sketch' I think i will be, it didn't take much longer than it would to do a napkin/beermat drawing and it certainly looks a lot better!!

Certainly true, I did some mock ups for the placement of the toilets and kitchenette for the new office. Took about 5 minutes and when I showed them to the guys doing the work you'd think I'd presented them with a full render of the job.
